Well they've been "leaking" stuff about Clarkson left right and centre, so it'd only be fair to "leak" the pulled episodes .

Just incase he reads SN:
Andy: if you read this and have a copy....Give me a PM, I'll stick it on youtube/final gear

Good managers would have handled this very differently and secured an outcome that chastised Clarkson for his behaviour (which was effectively an after hours incident when they were back at their accommodation and not actually in their "work environment"
) yet allowed the money spinning national institution that was Top Gear to continue.

Have got utterly fed up with this whole subject, but this morning something pops up I do not understand.
Clarkson to guest present HIGNFY
This is nonsensical. The BBC's Tony Hall said of the decision not to renew Clarkson's TG contract "a line has been crossed" and "there cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another". So the crossed line only exists for Top Gear, but not other BBC programmes?
Very fair and sensible

HIGNFY is produced by Hat Trick Productions, in independent TV production company, not the BBC. The BBC basically buys the rights to show it.
Who appears isn't under the BBC's control, so no double standards (for once!)
THe BBC are prpbably wincing at the thought of how it appears
Jimmy Mulville said weeks ago that clarkson had been booked to host the show and as far as he was concerned he was still hosting it unless BBC bosses told him otherwise. I guess the beeb are happy for him to do it, as it has been reported that clarkson has been gagged from discussing the fracas. You just know that all the contestants on HIGNFY are just going to take the **** constantly, can't see Jezza keeping his mouth shut.
As for being 'sacked' etc, I was 'sacked' from my first job as I was a contractor, within a week I was asked to come back and cover for a couple of weeks, and after doing my own thing for a few years was asked to come back permenantly where I stayed for a further thirteen years until I was the last to be made redundant. Can quite easily see Jeremy returning once everything has been forgotten.

I have a feeling he was probably pushed out as he would love the banter about it even if it was directed at him to an extent. IMO the BBC were going to come out looking even worse if they had let it go.

Clarkson in the Sunday Times this mornng. Perhpas undertsandable, but not excusable.
To be fair to him though, he does seem to recognise that he has acted fooloshly. Then again, maybe he is just saying that

Can't you see that Jeremy was bang out of order, regardless of the victim driving to the hospital with his split lip or flapping about with concussion of the floor without any medical assistance? If you've read the report, it says that whilst punching his lights out Mr. Clarkson threatened the victim that he had lost his job for his misconduct of not supporting JC's hot food demand. The victim could have been in a right state, physically and mentally. Now just because he drove to the hospital miles away doesn't mean he wasn't victimised, and it was all well-planned malicious plot against JC.
Why should anyone put up with JC for that sort of thing? Just because he's great JC?? Oh, come on!
Mind you, it could have been a well-tailored event from your fantastic JC, as he is the one who's hungry for gaining publicity with his childish tactics and flippant commentary. Oh, well.
By the way, sympathy for JC for his reasons for lashing out, but as Geezer says, understandable but not excusable.

The official report intentionally negates all premeditating circumstances. IMO that's poor practice as no one will learn of whats been going on beforehand. Which could indeed have been poor work practices (too many hours, lack of food, lack of planning etc).
We'll probably find out in a book released sometime close to Christmas.

Sure. JC likes attention, and the good thing is that he can get both attention and money by selling his childish tales told with a bit of an intellectual flare to it.

Well, unless you were joshing in your own usual ways.
