Clarkson wasn't the only one who beat up the crew...

I caught some of W1A last night...They pixelated all images of Clarkson and bleeped out his name. I couldn't make my mind up if it was done in jest or was censored for legal reasons

Whilst it was filmed pre-sacking, Was this "censoring" done post sacking?

My immediate thoughts were it was in jest; part of the 'script'.

Because, IIRC, they also had the bleep for something else.

Why on earth is this being debated still?

He assaulted a fellow worker, no excuses, no acceptable reason for it. If he had a valid contract he should have been sacked anyway. The rest of allt he articles are just headline grabbing rusbish, Lets move on now shall we.

There was no complaint from the victim. Hence, no prospect of a prosecution so no further action. I assume that other people present at the table made no complaints of a 'public order' type offence - so no offences there either. Hence no charge.

Also, just because the victim didn't report it to the Police doesn't mean it didn't happen. Many crimes go unreported, but that doesn't mean they didn't occur. I'm pleased that the BBC acted regardless, good on them.

The BBC have come up witha "dream team" to replace the old trio, Jodie Kidd, Guy Martin and Philip Glenister(??). Not sure that combination will have the same "chemistry" like Clarkson, Hammond and May.

It might turn out to be perfectly watchable, but it sure as hell wouldn't be the same show.

Not a lot apparently....

I've seen Jody Kidd presenting on the Classic Car show and she has the charisma of a plank of wood. Guy Martin would be good in a "geeky" way a bit like James May, only faster. But they'd have to completely redesign the show format, they couldn't follow the current format, there will always be comparisons that would be detrimental to for presenters and the new show.

An actor, a former model and a nutter.

Some "dream team".

Try harder BBC.

I take it the corporate monkeys don't watch channel 5.
Suzi Perry is a far better presenter.

Clarkson is filming something, with what looks like Hammond lurking in the background.

So:

ANOTHER Apology
circa £100,000
and a new position at the BBC.

A nice days work if I say so myself

I think if I worked at the beeb I'd also try and get myself punched by a celeb co-worker.
