What are the thoughts on UK classic prices

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...item20f85eb8ee

Think this is a little expensive but does have a simket fitted which is on my shopping list.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-subar...item19fd312946

This is closer and more in keeping with what I think is the going rate.

Thoughts?

I would hold out for a late import. I've got a V6 Sti and its without doubt the best classic I've owned, feels great to drive.

I still think people will be kicking themselves for not keeping hold of decent examples of these cars in a few years. You can see a turn in the last year or so. You've got to think about all those years ago when you could buy integrales, cosworths etc for peanuts. There are cars around us now that will be worth a lot of money in years to come! I've missed the boat with the 964 911 by a long way, was going to buy one at £10k a few years ago! Last of the UK turbos, Sti and RA imports, type R's P1's, Evo 5/6, R32 GTR, RX7, GTI-R.. All cars you will kick yourself for not squirrelling away and making an investment. I await for this post to be dug up in 10 years lol

I wouldn't be looking at genuine decent examples at £3750 saying they're dear, if they are good.

Me personally, I'd be looking for a V6 Sti type R if you can afford, or the saloon. Just think the front ends are perfect with the V6 lip and you can have a good look totally originally. My car with a remap and exhaust is an awesome road car, all you really need.

I wouldn't sell mine for peanuts. It's not exactly easy to find a genuine V6 Sti wearing it's original parts without damage or replacement bits. Then its got a full history as it came over with next to no miles almost new, folder full, pics of original ad etc, and 70k miles! I'd be stupid to sell it.
