Absolutely love this film but it has science types having multi-page rants over the science "facts" used in the film. It was originally proposed to be as close to fact as possible but got diluted along the way. Still, really good film IMO. There is much mumbling but apparently it's to add gravitas to the music score (nice way of putting we sacked the sound guy)

Predestination - very good watch. Hard to discuss parts as it gives the game away. Having said that, it doesn't take long. My one gripe is that in case you still don't get it, the plot is pretty much spoon fed to you in the last few minutes. I guess you we have to allow for our 'merican cousins.

The Equalizer - Poor film tbh. Got bored pretty quick and wasn't sorry it ended.

Watched "Woman In Gold" last night. Some excellent acting, even Ryan Gosling and a relatively low budget film with BBC funding.

An excellent story that shows how a nations involvement in the Holocaust was put up as justification for stealing art from the owners. The reparation theme is excellent and very relevant today.

Sounds good. I shall see it.

I watched Sean Penn directed film Into the Wild of late. Overall a disappointing visual with poor narration and poor direction, but a brilliant true story. I bet the book is way better, as it usually happens. Fantastic soundtrack, mind. This song in particular:

Finally got around to watching Under the skin. It certainly does its job. Not rewarding or re-watchable but it'll stay with me. Watched the first 40 minutes of Look too, I've not laughed at a film so much for a long time, totally bonkers. Opening scene features two schoolgirls looking at each others bum hole colour.

I watched it the other night, best of the 3 imo but seems to serve as an advert for LOTR's. Kinda similar to the Star Wars prequels with a little bit of sentiment thrown in.

I too enjoyed interstellar, even at the length the film was it didn't ever get boring, loved the waves scene.

Predestination I watched a couple of days ago, again an enjoyable watch, the female lead played a great part, fantastic actress.
If you enjoyed predestination try watching "sypher" and "coherence", both twisty watches and very enjoyable.

SANATORIUM

Watched it last night, thoroughly enjoyed it, very similar to Grave Encounters but it stays more grounded. The door trip sensors were very creepy!

Watched Hollows Grove last night, not a bad found footage flick with a little bit of production thrown in too! Bishop of Aliens fame has a quirky small role too!

Grave Encounters has a lot to answer for!

More enjoyable if you have a son or father you get on with.

Alien Outpost tonight, not too bad, a bit slow. It was a bit Pan's Labyrinth in "we better add a bit of fantasy as nobody will watch this war drama."

I watched No retreat, no surrender at the weekend. I'm not sure if it was aimed at 5yo boys or straight up Paedophiles.

I know its not films but anyone watching Vikings?

Its a great series. Quite brutal and very nicely shot.

It doesn't have the polish of Game of Thrones but then it doesn't have the fluff. GoT sometimes feels like inane filler between Tyrion Lannister scenes He carries the show IMO.

Saw Child 44 tonight. Absolutely excellent film. Tom Hardy was superb as was Gary Oldman and Noomi Rapace. Light hearted it ain't, but it keeps you guessing. Well worth a watch if you like movies outside of the usual Hollywood sh1te like that Avengers piece of garbage!

Haven't watched any film for a while now. I may give one a go sometimes over this Bank Holiday weekend.

I'm on Season 4 of Breaking Bad, and Pinkman remains the best tailored character with superb act by him. The chemistry between him and his Chemistry teacher is cool.

I'm a massive Paddy Condsidine fan so really wanted to see it, but some really bad reviews have put me off.

Most reviewers would probably rather watch some fantasy fodder or some crap like The Duff, if you like your movies a bit more challenging then this is for you! Ignore the reviews and enjoy!

Death of a Ghost hunter last night. It could have been decent with some good acting and subtlety with the scares. Every creepy moment was ruined by a sudden flashback thrown in. For the love of god build the tension!!!!!!

I've just watched The Hunted. A really good found footage film. Two deer hunters end up tracking a girl's screams but in the end the screams hunt them.
