Default Recommend me some films

Im off for a few days and I haven't watched that many films recently so can you give me a list of a few "corkers" in the past 5-6 years?

Thanks

Genre wise Im more a thriller/horror kind of a watcher than comedy/family orientated

Simple, forget anything Hollywood or with brad Clooney etc in as it's all total sh1te.
If you want films to do what they are meant for, to stick in your heads for weeks months years? If so try anything European, IMO the french do films like no other, the Aussies do some good films also.
Try.......

Martyrs? Was that the pretty dark Spanish film where that group kidnap a girl and essentially torture her until she basically goes all Catatonic as if her soul transcends.....? Good film but spent the whole time watching it with "buffer face". It was pretty dark.

I recently watched The Lazarus Project and it wasn't bad if you want to fill a bit time. Not a horror/thriller, more a mystery thriller I suppose.

It wasn't the best film I've ever watched, but not the worst either.

The Call was ok too, more a crime thriller.

Sorry, I'm not a great film critic, and mainly watch stuff on the free movie channels these days.

Martyrs is french, fantastic watch if you can stomach the more extreme cinema.

We Are The Millers - just for Jennifer Aniston dancing in her skimpies. That should be enough to forgive it for being a comedy.

I am not really into bikes that much, but this film is jawdroppingly good! I defy you not to be in awe of TT riders after watching it.
