Indeed, very sad, i use both phones, i don't know why people side on one or the other. And it seems ok to them if they get bad products/services because they own that product, or have owned a crapple before, nuts.

And you call Jack a hypocrite. You've done nothing but criticise Apple and promote Android in this thread.

eh? I haven't promoted Android at all. You are another delusional iSheep.

And this recent criticism of apple is well founded! Apart from costing me time and grief from the users i support, i think its outrageous with what apple seem to be able to get away with. This is the problem when companies get too big and wealthy for their own good.

All passed the "bend test" and proved more resilient than the 6+ iPad Mini Mini.

Absolute rubbish, none of my plastic phones have ever bent in my pocket, no matter what pressure is put on them. And if they do bend, then they spring back to their original state. Yea the other phones that bend have been the previous iphone models. You guys are completely delusional.

Indeed, the 6 bends because its made of a maluable metal, which is too thin in places around the buttons and because they were forced to make the screen bigger, its as simple as that. But hey as long as it looks good

Wasn't clever? cmon you have to admit that latest update was a complete mess from start to finish. As a result Apple lost a chunk of its market share. That isn't particularly professional is it. You need to open your eyes a bit more mate.
lol

"i will admit this, i only get involved to push your buttons and wind people like you up a bit Jack"

Yes, mate - that's very mature

It seems you can give but not take.

What's the big deal here? Phones bend. Samsungs bend.

If the last update was a complete mess from start to finish it hasn't effected me in the slightest. Or Mrs DD. We're both on IOS8, phones and ipads. No issues what so ever.

And I suspect the same is true for the vast majority of users.

And as fro your contention that Apple lost a chunck of market share? Fact or conjecture?

My eyes are open. I'm no apple fanboy. **** happens sometimes. Quite you have to bleat on about it all the time is, however, a mystery.

Let it go. Its really no big deal for 99.9 percent of users.

Delusional iSheep you say? Did I not say earlier that I've got a HTC phone? Fairly sure I did.

Your narrow mindset is oustanding. So you and the mrs were ok, ah fine then, no one else could have possibly been affected, yea right. Except for all the people who did update to 8.01 and it fecked up their devices.

Share price, its fact, read some of the news sites.

It seems i have got a few backs up in here, so I'll let it go and the other iSheeps can carry on bleating about how shiny and fantastic their bent crapples look

Just giving you a real world example mate. Not a narrow mindset.

Nothing in life is perfect. Its not the problem that's important, it's how quickly and efficiently its dealt with that is.

Sorry i disagree, with the amount of cash and resources that Apple have, this update farce should never have happened in the first place.

No. lol another poll, that'll be accurate then. I suspect that 39% will switch back when they realise the 6's battery life sucks compared to say an S5 and they've bent the **** out of it after sitting down a few times

Apple released a buggy update................

That they will sort out within days i guess as previously................

And as for Battery life well its a success on my crapple iBend 6+

Used to go home from work with my crapple 5 on 30% battery the iBend 6+ goes home on about 90% with same heavy use

You seem to be confusing "market share" with "share price"

Two completely different things

So on the basis its share price you are commenting on, this is probably more relevant (taken from the link you posted)

Analysts suggested Apple would soon overcome these issues and its shares would soon recover.

"Apple's decline is due to a confluence of unforced errors such as the botched iOS 8 update but, with the stock holding up well following the recent product announcements, today's declines could be more of a dip that offers a buying opportunity rather than the start of a bigger slump," said Chris Beauchamp, market analyst at IG.

So no big deal, really.

iOS 8 was fine on my iPad and iPhone 6 as was 8.01 and as is today's 8.02.
I think the bug affected about 0.04% of users. Hardly a huge bug but when you have sold 10million phones in 2 days that small percentage is still a lot of users.

I wonder how the sales figures stack up against the competition? Perhaps it would go some way to add weight to why android users seem to think Apple have more problems than android, because as a user of both systems daily, it certainly never seems that way to me.

90% after heavy usage.... how long was the screen on for? I can get 2 days of uptime with about 5-6hrs screentime on an S5.

That 4% they wiped off their share price due to what seems to be human error won't be seen as just a blip by the Apple PR team!

Tried to downgrade last night and got a message about it being too old so wouldn't let me return to the older version. Ended up wiping it completely and starting from scratch on v8 and it seems to be quicker now. I did end up losing data from the apps (basically all the kids game saves on it which they weren't happy about!) which is a bit annoying.

Needs a "Control" click to give options to downgrade IIRC.

No, it'll be seen as a buying opportunity and a simple way to make a quick 4%.

The share price has traditionally dipped following new product announcements, this is normal and you've been led to believe that a bloke bending a phone was the cause, what a sucker. Bless the gutter press.

No, the cause was the damaging iOS update feckup as you well know. #Bendergate was just the brown icing on the sh1tcake.

Apple even apologised for it! i was shocked, usually they would just blame the users.

Eh? They've put out a glut of security updates recently, all with no issues. KK 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 have just been released with 'L' to follow soon.

Remember that Google have disassociated certain core apps from the base OS, and that said core apps are updated fairly frequently independently of base OS updates.
