Apple have reported that 9 customers out of 10,000,000 have reported a bent iPhone.

Just crazy how you lot lap it up.

I have 1 minor issue with my iOS update on my 4 year old iPad. It was fixed in 8.01 which is nice.

Now apple would say that, wouldn't they? Just like you are holding it wrong and Subaru say there is no problem with their 2.5 engines. Time will see many more incidents.

These android phones must be fecking crap judging by the amount of time you lot spend on here trying to find anything even remotely negative about a phone you don't even like.

It's full on mental. How dare Apple make great products, must post anything negative, make it up if necessary.

is that all you've got?

Yes i dont always use my phone to browse the web, prefer a PC sometimes. What that has got to do with using Android I have no idea.

Love the irony of "spending time on here", when you are bothering to reply to the same thread Has your apple passion been knocked recently? aww

Hilarious how even now after all the debacles, #bendgate, totally underwhelming "new" iPhold6 and now this massive iOS update blunder, you iSheep still believe in Apple. Talk about blinkered...

LOL. You're an Android fundamentalist, with an emphasis on the Mental. The thing is, no one here is suffering from what you believe should put us off Apple products. I think the worst thing that's happened since I started this thread was the live stream, some would say the free U2 album, neither is anything to write about.

hahah, fundamentalist and you are a massive hypocrite. No one suffered? really? what about the poor saps that updated to 8.0.1 before it was pulled and lost the ability to use their phones to make calls? And the poor sad ***** who paid £700 for a phone that is now bent.

I couldn't give a **** really, i like both offerings from Apple and Samsung, i just prefer Android, less restrictions. To be honest i will admit this, i only get involved to push your buttons and wind people like you up a bit Jack, but this time with the 2 MASSIVE and outstanding blunders by Apple i simply could not avoid posting a little more **** than usual.

And I get banned for trolling. Feel proud admins, you were sucked in.

Yes, no one, no one you or I know and more people were run over by buses, you can't restore a back up when you're run over by a bus.

Apple has gone on record and said less than 40,000 users on iPhone 6 / 6 Plus were affected by the 8.0.1 issue.

8.0.2 has just been released and addresses those issues.

It is alleged that the mid-level QA Manager responsible for the foul up with Apple Maps in 2012 (inaccurate information etc...) was moved off the Maps team but remained on the iOS team and could well have been responsible for this 8.0.1 mess.

Stock market not happy about it then:

http://www.bbc.com/news/business-29364280

The BBC also sum up the chain of events quite nicely:

The iOS 8.0.1 update had been made available online for less than an hour before it was pulled on Wednesday.

The mistake comes at a time when Apple has suffered a series of setbacks.

Last week it released a tool to remove the new U2 album from iTunes users' libraries - which it had given away for free - after complaints that its songs had automatically been downloaded to devices without their owners' permission.

On Tuesday, claims were made that some of the new iPhones had bent after being placed in users' pockets - it is as yet unclear whether this is a major problem or not.

And on Wednesday, it emerged that a bug in OS X could leave the company's Mac computers open to attack.

Oh dear

I love how people are always slating apple and their products,

People can choose what phone they like but i find it amusing that some people seem to spend all their time saying how good their android phone is and i should get rid of my iphone for one.

I did do exactly that when the Galaxy S3 was released................. i used it for 3 weeks if i rememeber correctly and swapped it with a member of Scottish Scoobies for a Iphone 4s as i found android un reliable full of glitches battery did what it wanted phone crashed apps didnt work amongst other things.

While apple has its faults as well it is definitely more reliable and apple fix software problems quickly.

It seems to boil down to this in my eye.

"I dont want to pay 69p or 99p for an app. Id rather download it for free even if it doesn't work right and makes my phone vulnerable. Il get an android"

Backup device, wipe device, install new OS, restore device - in that order.

I've always done it that way.

Wouldn't say its pretty poor - just makes sense to get the best performance.

You've definately not had sex in a while.

Massive blunders?

A quick google search reveals that phones from all number of different manufacturers placed in tight pockets, sat upon and subject to stresses have been bending for years .

Imagine that. You place a bending force on a phone beyond its tolerances and it bends. Wow Who'd have thought. And not just phones, by the way. Happens to keys, pens, and all manner of objects.

Should I take my laptop back because the screen bends if I twist it? Would I sit on it? Em.. no.

There's no massive blunder. Flat thin, hollow items bend, pretty much no matter what they are made of. You cannot avoid that. If users are too dumb to understand that, its their loss.

The software update wasn't clever, but its fixed. So hardly a massive blunder either. You need to get some perspectve mate. Or a ****

Mature. Not that its any of your business but i get my oats regularly thanks.

Absolute rubbish, none of my plastic phones have ever bent in my pocket, no matter what pressure is put on them. And if they do bend, then they spring back to their original state. Yea the other phones that bend have been the previous iphone models. You guys are completely delusional.

Indeed, the 6 bends because its made of a maluable metal, which is too thin in places around the buttons and because they were forced to make the screen bigger, its as simple as that. But hey as long as it looks good

Wasn't clever? cmon you have to admit that latest update was a complete mess from start to finish. As a result Apple lost a chunk of its market share. That isn't particularly professional is it. You need to open your eyes a bit more mate.
