When did you get yours? Any pics anywhere?
I do like the most recent crop of Imprezas. And the classics. In fact all but the bizarre bugeye.

it does make me laugh. a wagon with an sti turbo bolted on is now faster than a whole host of faster, newer, more expensive and better engineered cars.

Not sure about the new STI but the M135i has quicker lap times at the TG track and Hockenheim Short than a 2006 SL55. Slower at the Ring but the BM time was set on a busy day but a non pro driver; it could be a lot better IMO. Not bad for a £30k shopping hatch

In all seriousness on any short track the STI and yours would have an SL55 fairly simply (assuming drivers of equal calibre), the Ring is different due to the long stretches of foot to the floor where the SL55 will have an advantage. A standard SL55 has a Ring time the same as a Spec C.

I do know (not that it really matters) that in a straight line on a dry road my car (which is modified of course) would leave a standard 2.5 STI a long way behind... even if the heap of Japanese crap didn't blow up

Chipped?
About the same as mine (they all seem to give slightly better numbers than BMW claim when on rollers.

Would be good to have a blast together if you're ever down this way out of season!

Maybe the gtr didn't try hard enough but it just shows you that lesser cars can stand a chance
