I feel sorry for the hard core UKIP / BNP. IMO Silly Vote.
Do you realise how/what their principles are for pensions? NHS? Keeping the working industry in industry?
Edit: I also worried in an industry that we actually RELIED on 'FOREIGN' people to keep our factory going, .........imagine UKIP or BNP were involved.......Our company would have closed down.
I think people need to stop being to bigoted and realise the truth.
Shame

under current pension laws i can cash in 1 that is frozen as of 2006 the other will take 12.8 years just to get my own money back and i will be taxed on it, as for companies being better off i cant see it, there is a company down here that makes brake bias valves for vw+audi i dont think vw+audi are suddenly fgoing to say get stuffed are they, oh and all the companies i listed have thier headoffice abroad (ie eu ) so therefore pay no tax on uk profits, the aint gonna lose out on billions just for the sake of 20% corperation tax are they, so i say lets get out and tax the barstewards

The trouble is you (and I) spend far too much time on SN which is full of right wing views (for reasons I shall not go into here for fear of yet another bunfight), but out in the real world Labour still have massive support mainly from the contingent who still identify them (wrongly these days IMO) as the party of the 'working man' and the party that will best serve those less fortunate than others shall we say!

Perhaps Mili's stuff wasn't as effective as Brown's 'bigoted' comment.

So now that the people who thought that it would be a wasted vote to go UKIP have seen some real support for the party. Do you think they may have a bit more confidence for the general election? To add to this it is my opinion that SOME UKIP supporters have been closet voters, do you think this will give these people confidence to go public?

One of the things that I worry about is that UKIP would have taken votes away from the Tory's thus giving labour a free ride. If would appear that I was wrong , and never been more happy for being so. If UKIP don't get in then I just hope that its not labour.

Looking at the forecasted 2015 general elections by the Telegraph, Labour could take a majority.

I'm sticking with UKIP from now on, at least until we've had a referendum on Europe.

True, and sadly votes in the council election for UKIP or other parties other than Conservative allows Labour to gain more council control. As every seat won by UKIP is very likely to be a seat lost from a Conservative. Giving Labour councillors a majority control over formerly Conservative controlled councils. Its +5 councils at the moment- not good. (No results for my constituency yet)
Thats the only reason why I voted Conservative for the the council election; Living in a Labour stronghold, a UKIP vote gives Labour a better chance of winning seats.

I see the pro-Labour BBC are still showing their bias. After Milibands disastrous interview in Swindon was barely mentioned, they've now got up a video to try and make out all UKIP voters fit the "they're takin' our 'jabs" types
Really can't stand the BBC!

I am I bit confused by some of the recent posts.
I watched question time followed by BBC vote 2014 till about 2:15am and a few hours of vote 2014 today and I see things a little different.
For a start I thought that UKIP was to take a lot of it votes from the Tory's and have a following from people who don't normally vote. This does however seem not to be the case. UKIP in fact have taken a lot of votes from labour (as well as the Tory's) which will go against them in part at the general election.
From watching the BBC I have come to understand that labour have not done as well as they needed to, they may well have done good on the day but if looking at the bigger picture and what they needed to archive in terms of the general election, not so good.
The Tory's over all seem to be a bit static with some ups and downs .
UKIP seem to have achieved the high end of their expectations with London being weak as they expected and overall bringing their average percentage vote down a bit.
Some one (SN) also said they thought the BBC were in labours corner and doing UKIP no favours. This is not one bit how I saw it, the BBC was fair and if anything have spent a lot of time throwing UKIP in their face by asking what are they going to do about the UKIP threat.
And the lib dems, well some one said they have done well but it seems to me based on what I saw on the BBC vote 2014 that they are now the fourth party. Not in terms of seats but from a overall point of view.
I am not claiming I am right but this is how I saw it.

It will be labour that will win the next election as there is no way the conservatives will make it back in unless they are partnering with another group. The country has a bigger debt now than when labour were voted out and the average man is far worse off, condems have made the rich poor gap wider and I can't see the population letting them back in.
