I'll bet most of the people who slag off 2.5s have never driven a well built one and experienced the huge torque available. Of course the base engine is not without its problems, that is well documented and we all (most of us) know about it.
A good 2 litre engine is nice. Been there and done that. But as they say, there's no substitute for size.
Anyway to the OP, glad you now have a solution to work on mate. Have fun.
