There are 2 sides to every story, this is no different. I understand why certain words are offensive to you, whereas certain words or situations are offensive to me and others.
To add history into the debate then you have to take into account this is England, a country rich in history and a proud nation most of the time. It's therefore not surprising the indigenous are offended when they are told what they can and cannot do, especially given the reasons. The English certainly don't need to be told anything regarding oppression either
. You may be correct in saying that certain changes are highlighted purely to stir up emotion, but then to what agenda?. But again there are 2 sides to propeganda also, these threads seem to have either pro or anti-muslims on them, there doesn't seem to be much inbetween.
I have never and will never be offended by anything anyone says on an internet forum.

- Halal meat does have a place here (at the halal meat shop, tesco's and in my plate)
- I'm glad you pointed out this is Britain. I genuinely thought i was in Romania all along. Silly Me.
- This is not a Muslim country (and if you want to be pedantic it is not a Christian country either - Christianity stole the countrys festivals and traditions then 'changed the British way of life' but that's another thread for someone with energy)

The irony is that Subway has not actually 'banned' ham/pork. It simply does not offer it at certain stores. I mean, i was miffed when my local Irish shop stopped selling the quality 'brack' and offered the cheap version instead. It didn't make me go on facebook and start slagging them off though.

Anyway... Halal and Kosher are the most natural methods around. Mother natures animals go straight for the neck for a quick and efficient kill (before the hunter gets a hoof/paw in its face)... the Halal/Kosher method is simply an extension of that. Oh well....

I love stuff like this, it stirs up all the usual folk Facebook, the ones that post mawkish stuff about soldiers, Pictures of Lee Rigby, thinly veiled racism, pictures of the English flag and passionate, yet cretinous diatribes about people going back home, for me the English Flag is ruined now and Lee Rigby has become the unwitting martyr for a lot of utter berks with an agenda, he was murdered by men who happened to be Muslims, converts I hasten to add, and first and foremost they were mentally ill. Actually, the converts seem to be more of a problem, I know those two guys were black but the women who convert tend to be mingers and the blokes gingers, remember that little dick declaring a street a Muslim Patrolled Zone, little ginger moron.
I get it, ok, you dont like/hate Muslims, that is quite a statement, there are billions of them so do you actually hate Muslims or is there a lack of understanding or perhaps a perceived threat, a common enemy in which to unite ? why do people waste so much time on this ?
Even if Muslims were enthusiastic consumers of processed Pork and enjoyed the odd pint or would some other factor be cited, I do, most Muslims manage to practice their religion without any issues, despite some incompatabilities with British life, we seem to manage to enjoy curries on a regular basis and I have never heard anyone wailing due to not being able to get a Pork Biryani ?

Just to add to my other post anybody that is OK with this sick s**t should be made to stand in front of one of these animals and watch them die slowly while they choke on there own blood.

Subway says in some shops we are changing our meat supplier, I say, does it taste any different. They say no, I say fine....

It's a simple question of economics, you cater for your main customer base. I can't believe how excited some folk get over a less than mediocre sandwich chain. If you feel so strongly then withhold your custom.

According to Subway, all the animals are stunned before killing. They still get a halal certificate. There is halal, and strict halal. This is according to Subway.
