You just need to look at the link and see that nitrogen dixoide is a separate emissions, and its been low throughout.

For nitric acid or sulphuric acid to be formed you need high levels of sulphur dixoide or nitrogen dioxide. Seeing that our sulphur and nitrogen levels are low, the source is not here. This means that pollution causing this is comming in from elsewhere.
