Hello all, Newbie from Sheffield
Hello all hope you are well?
I am new to the forum, I live in the Sheffield area and I am looking to buy my first Impreza.
I have had nearly 40 Performance cars since I started driving back in 2005, A string of Vauxhalls, Swedish Turbo'd cars, A few BMW's and Golf GTI Edition 30's, Also quite a few Jap cars such as Type R's and 200sx's etc
Never had a Subaru and have a little Suzuki Ignis Sport as a daily driver so I have been thinking about buying myself a Weekend toy.
I am big into Car detailing and have owned quite a few show condition cars over the years, OEM or Fast Road is my preferred choice! Non of that stretched tyres and Air Ride Bollocks.
I reckon an Impreza WRX STI ticks all the right boxes so I am looking to buy a Mint Blob Eye possibly a Widetrack.
Thanks Simon

Hi mate
I'm not far from you
there is a local group on facebook called 'south yorkshire subaru club' we have monthly meets too
have a look at JCT cars, Jason Turner (owner) is on SYSC. he's not the cheapest, but cars are good quality.
our monthly meet will be starting again at 'sheffield subaru service' soon

Thanks for the heads up, I think JCT has a Grey Widetrack For Sale at the moment around the £10.5K mark if its the one I am thinking of?
Cheers Simon

Longest I have ever kept a car was just over 1 Year and that was my Saab 9-3 Aero which I rebuilt from the ground up with a 2.3 Engine Conversion, I don't think I will ever keep anything long term.
I get the enjoyment out of Researching, Hunting for the best example I can find, Buying it and making the car as tidy as possible both mechanically and cosmetically....Then regardless of how rare or how good the car is I get itchy feet and start looking for my next car and sell the one I have just made pretty much perfect.
Great news for the buyer but most people and forum members think I am as they follow my Build threads and cannot believe I would even consider selling up.
Until 2014 I was a Manager at a Garage and so in my spare time stayed behind and carried out some Minor Restoration work on quite a few cars. I have bought and sold to various Owners Club members and car collectors over the years.
I had a complete career change in June 2014 so I have slowed down buying the older stuff as I don't have daily access to ramps now.
Some of the really rare cars I have owned I will never have the chance to own again but you can't keep them all LOL.
Cheers Simon

Yeah I've been mega busy the last few years and cars have had to take a bit of a side line. I've still got the impreza, just not had time to really enjoy it etc.

Yes I did! I had the Volvo 850 T5R in Gul Yellow in 2013, Went to a collector who had a Lotus Carlton and a few other cars.
Funnily enough he also bought a Lightening Blue Saab 9-3 Viggen Coupe from me in 2014 too
