STI Hatch help
I've now owned my 2008 uk hatch 2 months and I have kept my spending down to just some RE002's a full service with all fluids changed and to check it has the ECU update (it does). I want to change it now I previously owned an Evo 7 RS at 380/380 which had a little more go than my Stock Scooby. I now want that similar amount of horsepowers; well at least in between 350 and 380 hp and from what I've read on here a few more torques. What can I do to help me achieve this? Who can I speak with to do this work? what parts will I need? I understand there is probably a section with this info probably mapped out but when I trawled through it I could find loads of stuff on sti versions 1-9 and nothing on 10 and beyond. all opinions welcome.

I took my standard 2.5 to 370-380 without any problems , but then went to a forged build so I could go higher But I may just be one of the lucky ones
My advice would be hope for the best but plan for the worst , the 2.5 is a great engine when properly built but until forged it can go at any time really

I got 371/411, forged drop ins on a new short block, H&S 2.5" decat (very loud until I fitted a centre resonator), Mishimoto induction kit and uprated fuel pump (not really neccessary). All fitted by Subaru 4 You in Newbury, so not miles from you in Slough. Mapped by Bob Rawle

Hi I got 376 with 428 torque pretty much the same spec as fatboy coach can also vouch for subaru4you in Newbury, and Bob Rawle for the mapping, it's all about the torque with these 2.5's

What I've been reading through the posts on here and I've read about a Harvey Trick up pipe and I think it may be a little over kill for what I'm after and sadly I read that the Gentleman that designed it has passed away at what stage do you require one and what does that stage feel like. Again that's all too much for me
