I fitted these last summer on me 06 Hawk and do look great but they do seem to rub on the inside of the wings in the engine bay, may have to alter the bracket where it bolts on the bonnet coz the damper sits way to close to the wings when shutting the bonnet and is scratching the paint when shut, anyone else have same issues?

Hi Ted ....
I have had no one telling me that they have had rubbing issues up to press, I've personally never had issues on my previous type r's or my current blob spec c....there is adjustment on the bracket that bolts to the bonnet ?? Is the bracket that bolts to the bonnet sticking out as I imagin that if u move that closer in it will resolve the issue... Unless ur saying the bracket is tight to the bonnet ??

The actual bracket is as tight to the bonnet as the slot in the bracket allows m8, but the edge of the damper where it joins the bracket still catches on the wing when shut, i may have to just drill a couple of mm outta the slot so the bracket moves a bit nearer towards the bonnet hey

Hi ted can you email me some pics I will send over a pm with my email.... Just so I can take a peek at how there fitted.. If you can take a few close ups of around the bracket that would be great.
As I said before I've sold a good few of these now and never come across this issue before so don't understand why it's happening on yours. There should be plenty of room for clearance.

Hi Lee cheers for ya PM regarding fitment of these Dampers, I'm sorry fella but its my mistake not yours, I've checked back on me eBay history and dint even get my Dampers off you oops! They looked exactly the same as your ones in the pics you posted but my ones came from an eBay seller, sellers name is autotweeker and his Dampers are ment to fit 06-08 HAWKS, but clearly they don't without a few mods, should of got mine from you to avoid any hassle lol
