Is a 4 bar better than a 3 or is it overkill? I like the price a lot more than £400 though!

What would be the benefits of getting one of these tuned in while tweeking a map and adding a 3port ? Thanks in advance

You only need a map sensor if u want over 1.5 bar.

If your not going for crazy boost theres no benefit i believe.

A 3 bar map sensor will allow you to read boost up to 2 bar, a standard map uk sti map sensor reads to about 1.52bar. A 3 port will allow more stable boost control

I always found this GM sensor spot on and at a fraction of the cost

FYI it will not fit the standard MAP sensor location in the manifold. Although a good sensor, you will need to find somewhere to mount it, and run a pipe to it.

If the sensor you fit has a different pressure range to the one you have fitted now, it MUST be remapped.

As i said already buy a jdm spec c one from a breaker.

Direct fit and allow 1.7 bar.

Or fork out n buy perrin from scoobyclinic.

I don't much like s/h sensors and there aren't too many jdm spec-cs being broken either. There seems to be a few new ones about for less than £100 though, much better than £400!

Wasn't a problem for me to find one on here,

MBDevelopments or Scoobyspares usually have em in stock,

Rarely fail so no prob with it being S/H ,

Plug and play for £30

Could have 3 fail on you before you've paid same as perrin prices,


If new is what your after tho then Scoobyclinics perrin one is "supposedly" direct fit.

If you're having the car mapped anyway, then Just get the GM sensor get it all wired in and a vac line on it. The saved funds can go towards the map
