I had the 1.9 dci and had nothing but problems with it.

Within 200 miles the gear linkage went and I couldn't get 1st or 2nd gear and it went straight into reverse as you selected any gear. The card you put into the dash went pear-shaped and kept throwing it back out and the airbag sensors were very strange as the kept lighting up all the time...but apart from.

I did drive the 2.2, but it wouldnt start again when it was warmed up. You might tell from this that I wouldnt go anywhere near another one again...but on a plus I'm now good mates with the local breakdown driver

Thanks for the reply, Nat: sounds niggly!

How was it to drive? Specifically handling and poke? I like the looks and the 150bhp 2.2 gets good write-ups ...

Any thoughts appreciated.

The handling isnt that bad and it did tend to wallow a bit on twisty roads, I found that I had to steer into bends, etc before I got into it...if that makes sense?

The power difference was noticable and the 2.2 had loads more torque and a bit more through the gears and is deffo the better out of the two.

Hope this helps.
