Do they remove the tyres and shot blast the wheels, or do you have to prep them yourselves?
If they done a postal service, they'd make an absolute killing, with most places charging at least 40 quid a wheel!

Don't do it !

I know two people who have had wheel failures after powder coating !

PM for details.....

P.S. LSN Coatings did a set of four 17" STI alloys for me for £100. Google is your friend.

Thats cheap, I got quoted £150 today for mine in Cardiff.

What do you mean wheel failure!?! Over baking the metal and cracking it I guess?

Had mine done, looked ok, but first time airborne wheels started wobbling. On inspection found cracks propagating on spokes, (sti 8 gold wheels). All four of them.
Suppose if you drive like a "girl" you might be ok.
I'd been airborne many times before coating and never had any problems with same wheels.
A mate had same prob, too much of a coincidence for me.

maybe it was the 'previous times' which started the cracking which was exacerbated by the powdercoating??

No, don't think so, it was like they went out of balance in one go not gradual.
I would defo say it was due to powder coating in some way. Also my mates did the same immediatley after coating. Maybe some companies do it in different ways.
