Tyre choice?
#1
The time has come round that I need two new tyres for the escort, as you will all know we are not talking about the most awsome of cars here (60BHP), but it is one that is driven enthusiastically, basically, is there anything that I can put on the thing that does not cost too much, but is not going to see me parked backwards in a hedge?
I have michelins(sp?) on the front at the mo and they have seamed ok in the dry, but in the wet they are pants, I will probably move these to the back and get the new tyres put on the front as it is the rear ones that need changing?
Any suggestions. I think they are 175/70/R13? And I am in the Bracknell/Reading area and don't really want to travel to northamton?

Nex, Not sure about type/make of tyre you need but when you decide give Micheldever tyres a go. They were really cheap when I got 4 Eagle F1s for the Scoob at Xmas(about £55 per tyre). They are at Micheldever Station at the M3 end of the A303 near Winchester.

Are Toyo tyres any good as I have had quotes of £26.60 a tyre from them where as michelins or perrille(sp?) are £50?
As for the part worns on the back, to ones that are there now are nearly illegal, and still in the wet it is the front end that goes light?
