4 Pots on a wrx wagon
Has any one else experienced problems with the pad pins seizing into the callipers. While attempting to replace the front pads on my wagon I had 1 pin on each side refuse to budge, I had to cut then and drill them out. The nearest main dealer told me these are throw away items but don't stock them and wont get them till next week. my solution was to replace all 4 pins with high tensile steel bolts and locknuts. is this overkill or am I better going back to the pins ?

Aye they can be a right pain in the **** to be honest. My old calipers were stuck solid, so i cut them in the middle and tapped them out the opposite way.
I got a brand new pad fitting kit i bought for my old impreza 4 pot caliper's but never used as i had another set. Im selling them and im only down the road from you in Turriff

You can avoid them seizing by dismantling them every few months, cleaning up and reassembling with coppa slip on the ends of the pins.
But the permanent fix is to get stainless steel pins - I got some from someone on here selling them some time back:- https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...-calipers.html
