brake balance question
hi all,
just wondering, i have the front ap 6 pot 330mm bbk and rear newage 2pot conversion 290mm on my classic my95, is this ok for the brake balance or should i upgrade to rear 4 pots?
the car is used on track, i have braided brake lines, dot5.1... don't want the rear floating around on heavy braking....
thanx for he advice...

AP do a rear four pot kit, but only to quieten down the "show car" boys who need matching parts....
I would imagine that an upgrade to an STI Brembo ( 316mm ) set-up might help, I ran six pots on my 02 STI and it stopped well enough.
dunx
P.S. K Sport are probably the cheapest out there if you feel you must.

ok,
but when i run the sti 316 setup i need to change the hubs too? they are the larger 180 hubs right? is there a huge difference between the oem subaru rear 2 pot setup and the brembo 2 pot?i'm not that convinced about the brembo brakes, at least not the fronts...
ooh, it's def not about show, left those years long behind....
it's about a reliable track car for now and many upgrades later....

As Jeff says remove the brake bias valve and see how you get on , the Brembo set up will work better , and the 4 pots for the hardest driver , that used 4 pot kit for sale on here for £400 is a bargain and would be the best one to go for , especially as you'd get at least half the cost back selling your 290mm 2 pot rear brakes , if you fitted the 4 pots you could remove the standard brake bias valve and fit an adjustable one and fine tune the balance perfectly , the brakes would be amazing then

true, i am on the waiting list for the 4 pots, but there where a few before me so i doubt i will get a chance to buy them...
so i will keep other options open... losing the brake bias valve or changing for an adjustable one will be a good option either way...
thanks for the info
