What size spacers for p7

What size spacers for p7
Hopefully someone can tell me
I have a 2002 wagon fitted with prodrive p7 wheels and I have been told there is no chance of getting brembo's behind em. If I used spacers would this help or would the spacers need to be to big
I really don't want to have to buy wheels just to upgrade the brakes but the wrx ones are terrible. Even fitted brembo grooved discs and pads and there still shockingly bad
