The width of the rim is to small for the 235 tyres....Idealy would be 215s ... 7.5J 225s and 8J 235s,,,you can possibly fit them, but tyre wouldn't work on as good as on the correct rim width ...

Minimum rim width is 7" but that doesn't tell you if they will catch the arches...
My 235's on an 8" rim with an ET of 44 did catch at the back on a saloon, which has wider arches as standard.
