Cool

Ok, after the group buy etc who runs the MONSTER or billet kit and what do you think of em? What pads are you running? And how have they fared on track?
Currently only interested in information on HiSpec kits.
Cheers,
Chuck

chuck, get your ar$e over there and have a look for yourself. Seeing asw they are just the other side of the big bridge, should take about 10 mins.

I've got the monsters with 325mm grilled and drooved (or something like that ) discs.
Tried EBC greenstuff and redstuff pads.
Worked well with both, never managed to fade them yet, even after a day at Goodwood.

Warped a set of discs though, and it took forever for HiSpec to replace them.
Ever tried to get them on the phone?...........

Cool

Hi Chuck

I'm running monsters with greens, 310 disks and braided lines.
Don't do track stuff but not had any fade at all and fantastic stopping power. In addition, they're very impressive from cold and create very little dust.

Cheers

err, not quite replaced under warranty - I bought a new set and they finally agreed to reskim my warped ones

Think the new set may be going the same way - may be down to a sticking caliper.

To be fair, I know other people with these brakes and they've had no trouble. Ho hum.

Had a setup from them that consisted of AP 4 pots and 310mm cross drilled Wilwood discs.Never went on track and they warped after 2000 miles. They 'redressed' them and they did'ny warp again.Great stopping power but used to fade easily.

Thumbs up

I have the monster caliper's with 335mm disc's.At the moment I am using Mintex 1155 pad's.The pad's squeal when cold but once warmed up the stopping power is awesome.
My only gripe is that the pad's rattle as they have no locking pin's to hold them in place
Have yet to use them on the track but will be in the near future.
Cheers Paul.
