smallest steel wheels that would fit a WRX
Morning gentlemen and ladies
I'm hoping someone has done the hard work on this one before ;-)
I'm looking for the smallest steel wheel that will fit a Hawkeye WRX.
The reason being I want to stick snow tyres on for the UK snow/slush period (if we have one) and also to stick on for my Christmas trip to Europe (where a few countries have compulsory snow tyre rules)
The reason I thought steel and small is because I won't mind if they get damaged by misfortunes and salt like my speedlines will, as well as them being easy on-off in this country and of course being cheaper per tyre than 18 inch low profiles.
If anyone out there's done the hard work there's a few pints in it for you ;-)
Problems I've thought of are....
Stress on bearings from steels not being wide enough or sitting too far or near the hub.. and also not fitting over the calipers.
I've the wrx 06 saloon without Brembos and a bolt pattern of, I think, 5x100
I wondered maybe if anyone knew if wheels off a Toyota or similar night go on. Or even steels off a non turbo impreza. Does anyone know the bolt pattern on those?
Cheers all, hopefully someone already knows!

Yeah standard Subaru 4 pots and the 5x100... I think only 06 sti's had the 114. All previous all models I think are 100.
Classic alloys go down to about 16? Did any imprezas get given steels?

think you'll struggle to find steels in the right size..............
std classic 99/00 turbo16" wheels will clear the 4pots but if you can find some "gravel spec" pukka rally wheels in 15" then these also fit
