Classic tyres!!
I am in need for a set tyres for my car, what do people reckonmend? Currently have yoko prada spec2's and can't fault them apart from they look bald from new.not used for track, mainly country driving and up and down a dual carriage for work. Car is Circa 250-280 bhp so nothing compared to most on here.

In answer to our resident Toyo expert I have found the following differences between sets of Toyo T1r and T1s as compared to KU39.
The Toyo's in the dry had pretty decent grip and were comparable with the KU39.
In the wet the T1s was better than the T1r but neither were anywhere near as good as the KU39.
Road noise on both Toyo's was higher than with the KU39.
I found the Toyo's wore quickly on the outer edges much quicker than the the KU39's did. I also found that the general wear rate of the KU39 was marginally better than both Toyo's.
I found the Toyo's suffered more from tramlining when compared to the KU39.
In summary I moved away from Toyo's as I was not overly impressed with them. I then went to Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's which were excellent but the wear rates were poor.
I then went to the KU39's after having used Khumo v70A's on track for years, so I thought well they make an excellent track tyre so lets give the KU39's a whirl after they were recommended by my Khumo dealer. I am happy with them and stand by my statement they are a far superior tyre to both Toyo T1r and T1s.

Not used Kumhos, but I have had Toyos both in S and R. NEVER had problems with grip, wet or sdry. Maybe your tyre pressures are/were out? Mine runs 34 front, 32 rear.
Also not had excess wear anywhereon the tyre and I get decent mileage from a set of four, which are always swapped front to rear at the approx half way mark to even out wear...except when punctures dictate otherwise. Minehave always worn equally all over the tyre, and a set will give me 20-25000 miles....but I'm no boy racer
Your references to both tramlining, which I hardly ever see, and uneven wear leads me to think that either your suspension needs set up properly, or you should experiment with tyre pressures.
Others I've tried were the Bridgestones it came with, and Goodyear GSD3, with which I was totally unimpressed.
So thanks for the lecture, but I'll stick with my Toyos
