car is MY98 turbo with std rear brake set up.
the sympton is described as an intermitent clunking noise (as though something is loose), almost in time with the wheel revolution when under braking (and only under braking), hard or soft. it is more noticable at lower speeds ie 5-10mph pulling up to junctions/traffic lights.
it is non-existant when the brakes are cold but gets a louder as brakes get hotter.
the car has just had its 45k service and nothing was picked up (i noticed the noise before the service and was expecting them to say something, but they didnt)
wihtout taking the wheel off and lifting the caliper for further investigation, does anyone have any ideas at all??
thanks in advance
chris
im going to strip it down on saturday to have a look anyway.
