Default Eagle F1 Asymmetric 1/2?

Could someone explain the difference? Other than the price. Are they different tread and compounds?

Just pricing up some replacements.

Thanks

Sure i've read that V1's had the potential to suffer side wall cracking/failure!

Is there any indicator on the tyre to say if you have asy 1 or 2? I currently have them but they came with the wheels I bought so not sure which they are. And as the rears are only worn I only really need 2.

I have Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's. They say "asymmetric 2" on the sidewall.
Confusingly, they aren't asymmetric! No inside/outside/left/right marking and appear to be able to be fitted anywhere on the car.

Asymmetric 2's are the successor to Asymmetric 1's, which as far as I know are now discontinued, like the GSD3's (with the cool arrow tread pattern) before them.

So far (500 miles ish) I'm impressed with overall grip and wet performance is outstanding. THey feel a touch more understeery than the GSD3's (worn) I had on before, although I have yet to settle on the tyre pressures I'll be using. I dialed out understeer by adjusting front tyre pressures a bit on the GSD3's, after my 4 way alignment.
