Default Motul RBF 660 Brake fluid >> OEM

Hi folks,

I would really appreciate some advice on this one. I have just bought a litre of Motul RBF 660 (a brand I used in a previous car), for an upcoming track session for my '03 blob eye STi. I now want to take out the old OEM DOT 3 brake fluid and put the RBF 660 in, but I am getting conflicting information about the need to "fully flush" the old OEM fluid from the brake system. According to Motul it seems the RBF 660 can be mixed with a DOT 3 (the OEM), but there is lots of advice on the web which advises the opposite, and that a full flush is necessary. I had planned to drain the OEM fluid anyway, but not necessarily a full flush. I'm no expert on this and would therefore appreciate any advice

Many thanks in advance
Andre

draining and flushing are generally not required unless you have used/are going to use something like Castrol SRF or a silicone based fluid (dot 5) - not recomended!

IMO simplest way to sort is to first empty the resevoir as much as you can (a small syringe is ideal for this) and fill with fresh fluid..........now bleed as normal keeping the fluid topped up
the very action of bleeding the system will "flush" the old fluid through
