Subaru brake pad
Hi all
As some of you know, i found a set of subaru 4 pots on ebay recently. Im going to get the calipers fully refurbished as well as doing the 335ml brake upgrade kit from godspeed along with braided hose lines and new pistons. The pads that came with the spqre calipers on still have a good amount of life left. My current pads are getting quite low so my question is, would you trust 2nd hand brake pads. In 10 years of driving this is the 1st time id thought of this or would you take a trip to euro car parts and get brand new pads???
Also too add to save starting a new thread what type of paint would you guys recommend using to repaint the calipers
As you can see they look in a bit of a sorry state
Cheers all

I would'nt use second hand pads to be honest. If budget is tight then you could get some Pagid pads from Eurocarparts, supposed to be a pretty good OEM spec pad.
As for caliper paint, if Godspeed are refurbing them you could ask them to paint them too, might be easiest option. Otherwise you could use caliper paint but I would use hammerite smooth.

Cheers for your input guys. Yea my current pads need changing but the set that came with my other calipers look like theyre in good shape with a lot of life in them so was curious to see if you would use them for a month or 2 while i sort the calipers out and refurb them till i upgrade them with the new kit
