Milder fast road pads needed
Got Performance Friction Z rated pads all round and they are great when really hot but I just dont use the brakes hard often enough to keep them hot. Need a less track day focused pad. Been thinking Mintex M1144 ,any good ?

The M1144 are a bit too mild for fast road use in a scooby , I'd put them in light cars , a good choice to suit your use would be the kevlar pads , these are basically the first step up from standard so work very well from cold , but will take quite a bit of abuse on the road when pressing on , they are not suitable for track days.
We can offer you these front and rear for £89.50 delivered so are very well priced , up from these would be the bluestuff or orangestuff which both work very well cold , but can take a lot more abuse , more i'd say then the ones you have fitted now , but these are £240 delivered for front and rears

Sounds like M1144 might be what I am after if you think they are too mild. I really dont brake hard for long enough to keep the PF's hot. Went for a drive today and had to purposely brake later than wanted in order to keep them hot so they had some bite. Kinda spoiled the drive really.

They are Z rated ( is that same as PF11 ? ) and I've done about 5k miles on them in just under 2yrs. Will def be changing as I am just not hard enough on them so need something milder that works better for my driving style.
