Default Wheel stud removal - any tips?

I plan to replace all 20 of my wheel studs , I currently have ugly longer studs fitted.

How can I do this without damaging the studs I am removing ?

Thanks

Pete

If I was doin it I would use a sacrifce nut to screw on to each stud, and tap em out with a hammer. But I tend to be a little agricultural.

ur only going to waste a couple of nuts if you use the dome type, but as mentioned they tap out, make sure you remove the ABS rings first though

I will be replacing them with dome nuts - at the moment they have what looks like normal nuts on there. I will find some to protect the stud faces though - cheers for the tip !

Abs ring , is that on the rear ? What exactly do I need to remove and is the front the same as the rear ?

Just saw your thread. I've been using an angle grinder with a 1mm disc, from screwfix, and cutting 10mm studding in seconds. You'd have to dress up the cut ends but this could be easier than replacing the studs.

^^^^^^ +1 ^^^^^^

Just cut the studs to length, much easier and cheaper than replacing them all.
