Newage Brembos, don't feel "sharp"
I picked up my Blob STI last week, all great stuff, except the brakes dont feel very sharp, they work fine, but you have to put more force on the pedal than I expected to.
This is the only car I have driven with these brakes on, so I'm not sure if this is just how they are or they need changing?
How do your Brembos feel?
Cheers.

I managed to get some PF's included in the price when I bought the calipers but they do need heat and I have had a couple of moments when they are a bit cold

The lack of "sharp" brakes is due to reduced servo assistance IMHO. It's felt the same on every Brembo'd Subaru I've driven (including near new).
To my mind this is a good thing, as although you have to press a little harder there is much more feedback. There's nothing I hate more than the artificial, snatchy brake feel you get with a lot of other cars.

Right, I gave the car a good *ahem "run" this morning on the way to work, and yeah they are $hite!! Took the speed up and broke, all I got was a tired noise and not much else. Faded to nothing.
Ian, I'll give you a shout after 9

As said the brembo's arnt assisted much which you have to get used to coming from 'normal' brakes, it was the same in my DC5.
But i've just put orangestuff pads in yesterday to replaced my old Kevlar ones i totaly killed in 1 track session and even on the initial drive out to seat them in they have loads better 'bite' than the OEM or kevlar pads ive used before, so you won't be disapointed with the Oranges

Discs pads and fluid arrived next day
Fitted them just now, minus the fluid for now, and already just running slowly round the blocknthey feel 100% better. 300 miles of steady driving now, then we will see how they really perform.
Orange stuff and Godspeed one piece discs btw
