Panic the brake calipers don't fit
I just bought a new set of Subaru 4pot brake calipers along with the matching rear. Tonight i went to fit them to the rear of the car and teh calipers won't fit. The spacing of the bolts holes is too small by about 20mm compared to the standard ones. I have a subaru Impreza UK 2000 on R reg. What can I do?
What discs are meant to go with the fronts?
HELP. . .

I bought the calipers as a set. they are standard subaru calipers. Red in colour and have subaru on the side. The rears definitely don't fit on the rear as I have tried

if your rear calipers also have subaru written on the side of them , these are the 2 pot calipers , you need the 290mm discs to fit them , and you also need this bracket kit I make

They will bolt straight on with this bracket kit

As mentioned above, fronts are a direct fit using 294mm discs (after bending or removing the stone guards)
Rears are a little more complicated. They require 290mm discs from a newage wrx and some brackets to space them out correctly
Brackets fitted in place (R reg Turbo 2000)
and discs and calipers fitted to the brackets.
Stick with it as its a cracking upgrade from the standard brakes!

Thanks for the pictures and advice guys, wish I got the info before I went and bought the calipers. The projected cost of the project is escalating and with my dream really being a P1 I wonder if I am better saving for one of them. Then it's a hoobby and I and feel much more comfortable justifying the expense

As I said on the phone , if you don't want to spend any more money fitting them , just get front discs and pads and fit the four pots and sell your rear 2 pot calipers to cover this cost

The 2-pot rear calipers seem to sell for more than the 4-pot
front calipers at the moment.
They are a worthwhile upgrade for the rear though.
I fitted them to the rear of my Legacy GTB and they seem to balance the
braking with the 4-pots on the front nicely.

i wouldnt sell the 2 pot rears, sticking with the 1 pot sliding calipers on the rear whilst slapping 4 pots on the front results in some very scary top end braking !!!
