Default brake questions--disc/pad recommendation...

my brakes are shocking!!!! my vectra has better brakes!!!

MY07 hawkeye STI.

have a awful sounding whining/rumbling noise under ANY braking..
im guessing the discs have had it. covered around 33k miles.

so...

do i have braided hoses??

what pads and discs for the front do you guys use/recommend??

are std discs ok??

any difference in using 2 piece rather than noraml discs??

Front Grooved Discs Orangestuff Pads Package STI Impreza??
http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/~godspeed/product.php?id_product=132

or DS2500 pads??

im wanting it to stop on a penny..

Hi
Your car will have rubber brake hose fitted as standard unless someone has changed them , the link you have put up for our grooved discs and orangestuff package will stop you very well , its had very good feedback from those that have tried them , but better if you change the front and rears , I would rate them better than the Ferodo DS2500's.

Cheers Ian

And your Vectra will be servo'd brake assisted to hell whilst Subaru's always need more push for a better feel

The orangestuff pads are aimed at the track users , but those who have tried them in road cars say they give very good bite from cold , and are good everywhere , they would be a lot better than the reds you have fitted
