Default New discs and pads for my STi Spec D.... Too many options!

Going to need to do my brakes at the end of this month and I've no idea which parts to buy. I don't want cheap crappy, but nor do I want to buy the costliest stuff I've seen. What are other people's recommendations/experiences?

Are Performance Friction are brand or a store?

What's the advantage of the Godspeed discs?

Hi Jay
It depends on your use what type of disc you go for , the best discs suitable for the hardest road drivers , or those doing track days are the 2 piece discs and bells , but come at a cost , if your car is an every day drive that you have a bit of fun in then the one piece discs are well up to the job.

Again with pads , loads of different compounds to suit all driving styles , let me know your use and I can recommend a set up along with prices for you

Cheers Ian

i had the one piece disks ian sells on my hawk wrx (355bhp) with fast road pads and they were not up to my style of driving, fitted the NDX bluestuff pads and superb braking from cold and hot.
mines is a daily driver and i dont track it but do like a spirited drive.

got around 15k with the discs and pads and both past it.bluestuff pads were almost down to the metal and the discs are warpped. have fitted new PF pads and as im not driving just now due to op my old man said he thinks they brake well.

i was looking at 2 piece discs but nobody can tell me how long they are expected to last.which is no good.
i emailed a few place on here and other websites and only one replied but the cost of just 2 piece discs was 360 per front disc.so over 700 quid for discs when you can buy the front ksport set up for 100 quid more.

if you buy the Performance Friction 2pce kits then most customers see min. 20K out of them even with track use.............personally feel this is a better set-up than cheaper aftermarket kits that will utilize poorer quality components

Performance friction disc and pads are superb,i run these on my car.but as said,it depends on how you use your car,I have a very aggressive driving style 90 percent of the time and also do track days when I can afford them so the PF disc and pads suit me fine I have never really got them to fade no matter how hard I apply them, they just seem to get better.
