MY01 WRX Uneven tyre wear.
#1
The front right tyre on my 6 month old 10K miles WRX has worn so unevenly that it is bald on the outside edge (and probably illegal). The other 3 tyres still have plenty of life. It would suggest that the camber on FR is wrong?
Reading through this forum it seems that Subaru's have poor geometry from the factory - surely i can'nt be so bad to cause this? Will I have any success if i take this up with the dealer/Subaru?
It looks like I need 4 wheel laser alignement, what are the correct/optimum settings (toe & castor)? What is adjustable on an Imprezza, is it easy to adjust?
Can anyone recommend an alignement centre in cornwall or devon?
Thanks in advance for any advice given

Based on the experience of a lot of people on here, I would say that it is possible (extreme in your case, but possible). Certainly worth having a chat with your dealer as it sounds like your car is miles out. Don't know anyone in the West country who can do the alignment, but I would recommend a chat with Powerstation who should be able to advise on settings or at least give you a bit of ammunition to confront your dealer with.
Good luck
Cheers

Joe,
If you can get there, Exeter Tyres (01392 412610) has all the latest laser alignment equipment and should be able to sort your problem out. Or, if you fancy a longer run, we'll be happy to take a look at it for you at my place in Bristol (0117 954 0123).

This has happened on a number of MY01's. It is more likely to be a toe error than camber. Some have shown no apparent geometry misalignment despite the tyre wear.
