Default 335 brake kit on oe 4 pots

is there anyone else on here with these from godspeed
335 2 piece discs with modded calipers. currently im running them with the blue stuff pads.
just would like to get opinions on these as i think they are v good if u want to keep 4 pots and not go for brembos (£££)
think with this combination and brembos with standard discs and blue pads theres not much of a diffrence???
so feedback would be appreciated.
so come on u 335 owners

Never owned brembos, but I have the 335mm kit. It is very capable, very capable indeed.

Upgraded from 4 pots to brembos with decent discs and fast road pads, massive difference. Top setup. Have heard good things about the godspeed kit though, also means you don't have to change wheels for something that clears brembos I believe?

well yeah think its a cheaper option without messing about with wheels. although i have some sti wheels now in case i go down the brembo route to compare, but then ive gotta buy new disc and pads aswell, so i dont think i will just to see a slight improvement.

I have the Ferodo DS2500. They seem to take a bit to get them hot and at a good operating temp. It might just be me and my weak braking!

ive got some of them nearly new that i took of to test ndx blue.
ds2500 are a good pad but i agree u have to warm em up a bit, then they work fantastic, u do have to press pedal quite hard lol
the ndx blue are awesome they have instant bite even when cold and u only have to press lightly to get reaction. ive heard orange are a bit better than blue so ill try them next

Not sure really, I might just get the bluestuff, it seems like the next step. You rate them.

I did get some discs from ebay, for the 335 kit that is, but they seemed pretty rough. I may pop them over to Godspeed when Im next up that way, just to see if they are worth keeping.

Grooved and drilled. No cracks yet!!

That's the good thing about the brembos, much thicker discs, less prone to warp. Can treat them rough. Lol

thats exactly why people complain about em and think they are warped lol then sell em. they must not understand the work ethics of the hot braking

The Sti brembo discs are 30mm new , my 335mm discs are 32mm , so will take more abuse again

The 294mm discs are only 24mm thick , so in comparison are puny .

Aah, just the man. A mate of mine lives in Bridgend. If he pops in, can you inspect a couple of 335mm rotors I have for any issues (if they can be used again) and if there is anything I need to have done to them? Thats if the wife hasnt thrown them out.

Rgds

I realise, but didn't know the godspeed 335s were thick like the brembos. 32mm instead of the ard 24mm. Thankfully Ian confirmed. All good!

u could always go for the 356 discs to make them awesomer
then they will be better than the 335 kit

Actually that must be a cool kit. Better than brembos. Asked Ian about bigger kit for brembos but can't be done as won't fit into calipers. 356 kit with standard 4 pot calipers will be goooood. Awesomer as you say! Lol
