Need new disc/pad combo..
I've gone over old threads but hoping there might be some new info out there.. my discs are warped to arsery on my 2004 WRX wagon so need new discs and pads but, don't want to have to re-mortgage the house as need funds for other mods.. So what's about at the mo? Want to stay with grooved discs and fast road pads and not spend piles of money..
Anyone used this combo?

If you drive very very hard on the road , then you will find the limits of them , and more so if the brakes are not working properly , check that all pistons are free to move , and the rears are also working properly , if the rear are not working 100% that will overwork the fronts , which will find the limits even sooner

For the price, you can't really beat them IMHO.

Another bump for a great deal - just ordered 4 disks, pads, braided hoses and a litre of dot 5.1, delivered price was just a shade over £300

The brembo calipers are a very good powerful caliper , and with the right pad and disc to suit the driving style , are as good as anything same size , you will not see big increases in performance fitting the K sport 330mm over the Brembo STi 326mm set up , if you were looking to go better you would need to fit the 355mm kit , but then you would need 18" wheels.
If you have the Brembo's already fitted , I would go with a pad and disc set up , depending on the pad type , they can put up with just about any abuse.
Our one piece grooved discs and Orangestuff pads are proving very popular with both STi and Evo owners , the front set up is £250 , front and rears are £399.
For harder users , or those doing track days , then the 2 piece discs are better again , the discs are lighter so you get less unsprung weight , so your suspension doesn't work so hard , as the bells are made of aluminium , it dissipates heat quicker so takes more heat out of the discs , and transmits less heat into the bearings , and will also allow a small amount of movement between the discs and bells as they get very hot and expand , so less chance of them warping and going out of shape.
We can offer you our 2 piece front discs and Orangestuff pads for £450.
P&P would be £15
Hope this helps

Rez - are you still using the 4 pot calipers?
I've recently changed discs and pads to Ian's grooved discs and Orangestuff pads on the wrx 4 pots. I was using Ian's Kevlar pads (which I had faded a few times, no complaints I knew their limits), then briefly went to yellows, which were ok, but again experienced some slight fade in these. The oranges are ridiculously good and in a completely different league to the yellows. The cold bite is good and when their is some heat in them they can pull you out of your seat if you stand on them hard time and again

Just out of interest do you do a 2 piece disc for the 4 pots or is it a brembo fitting only?
