Hi All!

I bought some K-sport 8 pots, with some kevlar pads, which were fitted a couple of weeks ago. I noticed there was a knocking noise when going from reverse to fwd and from fwd to back.

I thought it was the garage which didnt fit it properly, so I took it back. They looked at it and said there is play where the pads sit in the caliper. They said its not dangerous. But, is REALLY annoying.

Is this normal? Does everyone else experience the same?

Have you got the anti rattle shims fitted?

Look for a small metal bracket that clips onto the back of the caliper and holds the pads in place

I dont know if they came as part of the kit, I will have a look. If they dont, I'll try and find somewhere to buy them from and get them fitted.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Yeah mine did it, they also did it when braking hard to a full stop, then when you drive forwards you get that knock.

It's gone now though, i just ignored it, probably wedged in with brake dust lol.

The anti rattle shims do come with the kit as mine arrived today and i just had a look.

Theres an anti rattle clip that sits above the pads.
