Hi lads

As you prob know I am looking for winter tyres for my classic, my question is about sizes for 17" wheels.

Currently I have 215/40/17 which I can not find winters in that's size. I was thinking about going up to 45 profiles but some folk are saying it will wind up my diff, I am putting 4 on so can't see that happening but the tyre place that said this also said about going to 205/45/17 as a option instead.

What is the right direction to go do I go for 215/45/17 or do I go 205/45/17 ?

40 to 45 profile won't make any difference if you are changing all 4 tyres.

What width are your wheels?

Cheers mate that's exactly what I thought only issue would be speedo out a tiny bit.

Well I went from 205/40/17 to 205/45/17 and the speedo was closer. Then again the original size is 195/60/15 iirc. It's been a while.
