New wheels/tyres, will i get scrubbing etc ?
Currently have a classic with 4 pots up front, 2 pots at rear, running on showa shocks/springs so lower than standard but not majorly low.
currently have speedline alloys with an ET of 48 running 215/45/17 tyres
Need some new tyres so looking at 2nd hand wheels with good tyres etc, (can work out cheaper) so anyhoo, with my current wheels, i have minimal clearance of the 4 pots, prob 2mm at most which is fine.
i have seen some wheels that have an ET of 45, now if understand that will make the wheel further away from the caliper so more clearance but closer to the arch etc
i do get a minor scrub at the rear if fully loaded and go over a speed bump too fast (very rare)
the gap from tyre to arch is about a fingers width
will running an ET 45 cause more issues, im guessing yes, but as seeing so many wheels with an ET of 45 why am i suffering (if i will)
cheers
