Is 7J very different to a 7JJ wheel ?
Could someone please tell me if a wheel stamped 7JJ can replace a 7J wheel, all other factors being equal ?
And ...
if the PCD I need is 5x100 but this is not stamped on the wheels, would there be a different method of designating the PCD, some other stamp figure/lettering on the wheel ?
Sorry to be a bit vague on this but info' is sparse. I do not know the make of wheels or what Subaru they came off !
Cheers
Brian

Hi
The J or JJ part of the wheel designation refers to the profile of the inside edge of the outer rim of the wheel.
If all other specs are the same the wheel will be fine as a replacement. For wheel location (in the wheel arch) the most crucial measurements are the width and offset.
If the wheel does not have the stud pattern stamped on the wheel the easiest way to measure it is as follows.
Draw a circle through the centre of each stud hole and then measure the diameter of that circle. This will give you the PCD (100mm etc).
There is another way but it takes too much explaining for me to type here!!!
Hope this helps.
Thanks
