Clunking Rear Pads on MY97
#1
Since I fiddled with the rear brakes on my Scoob (painted the calipers), they've been making an odd clunking noise in time with the wheel rotation when applying the brakes. Its more apparent at low speed and appears worse when they are hot.
I've had a bash by lubricating the guides with copper-eaze with little effect, my only thought is seeing that the pads were removed to paint the calipers, now they are put back on, they move about on the guides and thus bang on the caliper.
Anyone got any ideas of fixing it (without fitting new discs and pads - still got 8mm left)???
My solution for now is to fit a louder exhaust and crank up the ICE so I dont hear it!!
