I soaked the caliper mounting bolts in plus gas but the bottom bolt was still a nightmare even using a long lever (lots of swearing).
Top tip.. if the bottom bolt is a real pain then you can actually replace the discs by removing the top bolt and loosening the bottom bolt so the caliper can be swung away from the disc (the inside guard metal thingy stops it swinging away too much but it is just enough to jiggle the disc out and replace it with a new one).
Obviously remove the pads first and undo the nut mounting the brake hose to the shocks/coilovers to allow free movement of course.

Being a 2004, it must have had a pad change by now. I'm sure the damage to threads is usally caused by the bolts being over-tourqued at the factory. So its the first time they are removed from then, that they decide to strip the thread out.

If you think the pads haven't been changed before (possible on a low miler), find a firm that can do helicoils (engineering firms), and do the work in the hours they are still open, and have another form of transport handy.

pads can be changed without removing the calipers...

Ok so I got one thing wrong, meant disc's.
The rest still stands, these caliper bolts can be stripped very easily on these.

Had to helicoil all 4 of my brembo caliper mounting threads. High tensile steel bolt in alley caliper thread = problem.

Good luck!
