Default Wheel bearing +seals for 2005 wrx

Hi, just been quoted £400 for front nearside wheel bearing and seals replacement by my nearest dealer, is this a realistic price or can anybody give me a price for supply (and fit if in the east kent area), and a rough idea how long it would take so I can work out the labour cost.

seems a bit excessive to me

Ouch!!

I would go back and ask them if they have made a mistake when quoting you?

If you were to use Genuine parts for the job, then the cost of the "parts only" would be just shy of £180 at Subaru's current retail price.... £220.00 Labour seems way too much for a job that should only take an hour!

Thanks for the reply

Do you know any one local to you that works on Subaru's?

I am in Herne Bay so Canterbury area is good for me.

Yea I might... One of our old Motorsport Technicians that used to work on our subaru rally cars might be in a position to help.

I will ask him and come back to you.
