Are 2 pots Really worth fitting on a classic ?
The Rear caliper,For us with 95-97 WRX etc,For road use,brief spirited driving etc ? (with the 4 pots fitted up front )
For the money,say £200 is it a worth while mod to do to help slow the car down,or isnt there much noticeable difference ? Better to stick some decent pads on the back of the slidin caliper ?

From my non technical point of view, yes.
Bigger disk and IIRC larger pad = better braking. When coupled with the 4pot fronts, better balanced braking.

i have fitted the 2 pot calipers on the rear of mine,in my opinion yes its worth it,the car feels more stable under hard braking! before the rear seemed to almost want to overtake the front and fitting the 2 pots sorted that,car feels more balanced!
amd it looks loads better!!

The late Type R was the car to use for rallying , these had 2 pots fitted on the rear as standard , Subaru knew what they were doing when they fitted these , yes they make a big improvement over the standard 1 pot calipers , and makes the car brake flatter with them , instead of nosediving , so makes it much more stable under hard braking

so,when the bigger discs are fitted to the rear,im assuming you have to either remove the backplate (as its only a smidge bigger than the original smaller discs) or hammer the lip out and bend it out so the bigger disc fits ?
dont wanna remove the backplate,is it possible to keep it/manipulate it into a newer shape etc ????

Hi
You can just bend it back slightly and it will give you clearance , or just drill through the spot welds holding the stone guard on and take it off , I take them off as its very easy to do.
You can't take the actual backplate off as this is what the caliper brackets are bolted to
