Classic STI currently on 205 50 16.
Can buy a much wider and cheaper range of tyres in a 205 55 16
anyone done this, any good or not.

205/55R16 does NOT rub!
I have fitted this size for winter tyres for the reason of price and availability, and the slight increase in ground clearance is a boon in winter time.
