Default Newage STi V7 V8 etc alloys weight

Hey all,

As a bit of a thread of fact..

This has been asked a few times, so when I've had my tyres off to have my wheels refurbed I took the opportunity to find the weight of my wheels without tyres. I weighed them and got them to be to be 9.2kg

These are the wheels, as fitted to the newage STi's pre the wider track.

(not my pics btw)

So the figures are:

Size: 17"
Width: 7.5"
ET: 53
Weight: 9.2kg without tyres

Hope that's useful for some!

It just means I have to spend a lot of money to get lighter wheels

The ET should be stamped on the wheel, probably 53 but I can check that later

As a comparision, the BBS forged wheels I have downstairs waiting refurbishment come in at 7.2kg without tyres, not bad weight saving (17x7.5 pcd 100)

I thought they were Spec C wheels? Or standard STi in the USA!

Standard on the 17 inch car, wasnt standard on my limited those just had the standard STI wheels so needed to find some, if you trawl through ebay every few days (and these came up as something weird like gold subaru wheels) you can eventually find some or if there is an importer/breaker that may have some, but not many Spec C's or early JDM's with these on over here so quite rare

Ah right ok. I've always wanted them for their quite substantial weight saving, and factory look. Annoyingly a Subaru local to me has appeared, and he has them fitted, the git! O well, another time maybe!

Very similar to the 2005 set, except these are BBS and not Enkei I believe. Obviously the stud pattern is 5x100 rather than 5x114 too
