new discs and pads just fitted, Dark Ring on one side on the disc after 10 mins drive
Just fitted a brake new set of disc and pads all round. when I came home after 10 mins drive, I realised the inner ring of the front driver side discs is darker, heavier brake pad wear?? (dark circle round the inner part of the disc). Hope I not confuse anyone
didnt notice and difference or strange noise of any kind when driving? not pulling at any side when braking. do i have a seized piston? causing extra pressure of some kind?...hope I explained myself ok.. please advice. thx
just to add, this is a standard STi brembo btw. thx

Could be that the pads are not quite flat so are only making contact and causing the lighter part of the disc. As the pads bed in the line should get thinner. Could be worth taking the pads out and placing a sheet of course sandpaper on a flat surface and gently rubbing them along the long axis to see if the pad is not true.
